This Wednesday, Barça’s third day in England, featured a morning training session and an afternoon of rest. Up until now, the team have been putting in two sessions a day.
Under an overcast sky, the team trained on St. George’s Park main training pitch. Patric didn’t take part in the session, but Sergio Roberto did. It was an intense session, and it was closely watched by England’s national women’s team. After the session, Pedro remarked: “Luis Enrique knows what I can offer.”
For the first time this week the team enjoyed an afternoon of rest. The players stayed at St. George’s Park, and some like Piqué, Jordi Alba, Deulofeu and Montoya passed the time playing table tennis and pool.
The team will return to their double-session regimen on Thursday with a session in the morning (the first 15 minutes are open to the press) and another in the afternoon (closed-door). Gerard Piqué will hold a press conference after the first session.
