NBA in Barcelona

Barça and the NBA have enjoyed a close relationship for decades, including games between each other. These games have always been played either in the US or at the Palau Sant Jordi.

But this time, Silver and Bartomeu have discussed a game on Barça’s own facilities. “We have spoken with President Bartomeu about bringing an NBA team here to the Palau” said Solver. “I’d like an NBA team to inaugurate the new Palau with a game against FC Barcelona.

“We’ll have to study the proposal, but we’d be very happy if that could be one of the possibilities” commented Joan Bladé, the director responsible for the basketball section.
