The Barça first team as well as coach Luis Enrique dedicated a large part of the morning to fulfilling promotional commitments for both the Club and for sponsors. Once training was over the players, divided into various groups, took part in filming for a campaign that the club is preparing for Christmas, for local station TV3, for an event for the sponsor Maurice Lacroix and a meeting with children from the FC Barcelona Foundation.
This was the principal reason that Javier Mascherano appeared later than scheduled at Thursday's press conference.
As of this season these type of promotional activities are grouped together on one day a month to allow all the players from the first team squad to take part in the various promotional commitments.
