Getafe a happy hunting ground for Pedro

The FC Barcelona winger has only scored more goals at Camp Nou and at Rayo's ground, Vallecas A hat-trick last season at Getafe helped the blaugranes come from behind to win

Few grounds bring back so many happy memories as Getafe’s Coliseum Alfonso Pérez does for Pedro Rodríguez. The stadium in the outskirts of Madrid has seen the man from the Canary Islands find the net on four occasions – only Camp Nou and Rayo Vallecano’s Vallecas Stadium have witnessed more goals from the Barça winger.

Getafe and Rayo Vallecano have both been on the end of Pedro hat-tricks. Saturday’s rivals suffered at the hands of the blaugrana number 7 last season when he scored three times in just eight minutes, turning a 2-0 deficit into a 3-2 lead. It could have been four but for the referee ruling another effort from the winger.

Pedro other goal against Getafe came in just his second game in the stadium. It came on the 7th of November, 2010 in a contest that Barça came out victorious by three goals to one. That day the youth team product added the third for Pep Guardiola’s team.

3rd favourite opponent

To those four goals in the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez, we can add another scored at Camp Nou. That strike came at home in the 4-0 win in the season 2011/12. Pedro has scored five goals against Getafe in the league and he has only scored more in the competition against Rayo and Espanyol, against both of which he has six goals. The man from the Canary Islands has scored in two of his last three games, will he find the net again on Saturday?
