Neymar and Dani Alves are in the running for Samba Gold, an award for the best Brazilian footballers in Europe. They are on a shortlist of 30, and votes can be cast on the Sambafoot website from December 1 to 30. The winner will be announced in February.
The winner will be selected by a jury of football experts and writers, former players like Cafú, Raí and Taffarel, in combination with online votes cast by website users.
The last three editions have been won by Thiago Silva. FC Barcelona’s Dani Alves came second in 2011. This is the seventh edition of an award that has existed since 2008.
