Barça recorded their 17th win in their 17th game of the Asobal league season so far. The win came in their first home game since the recent World Championship in Qatar, easing past a stubborn Helvetia Anaitasuna side by 35-25. Sarmiento and Tomás provided the goals in the first half with Saric also in tremendous form in goal. The blaugranes maintained their advantage in the second half with help from recent World Championship gold medallists with France, Sorhaindo and Karabatic.
