The Barça futsal team were in Dallas yesterday for a day combining tourism and a game. In the morning they had a date with history as they visited a typical 19th century Wild West town, where they were able to enjoy a cowboy display and even take photos with the famous longhorn cows.
Next up was a visit to City Futsal, where the local Barça fans were able to get their first close-up up look at Andreu Plaza and his team.
The exhibition match against the US national team attracted no fewer than 4,600 spectators to the pavilion to see Barça storm into an early 3-0 lead. But the home side refused to be disheartened by the early setback and fought back to end up losing narrowly by the odd goal in seven. Constantino claimed a hat-trick for the Catalans, and Raúl got the other.
The tour continues on Saturday with a game against Mexico.
