Barça B draw 1–1 with Racing, settle for insufficient point

Sandro put the youngsters up in the second half but victory slipped away in the final minutes Ortolá stopped a penalty kick in the 86th but the rebound went right back to the shooter, who didn't miss again

Another game has slipped away at the Miniestadi, as Barça B failed to bag the three points against Racing Santander despite dominating while ahead on the scoreboard. Sandro's goal in the second half seemed to be the light, but a bad-luck penalty in the last minute did them in. Ortolá stopped the penalty, but Borja Granero knocked in the rebound.

Barça B, desperate for a victory to aid them in their quest to avoid relegation, came out of the gates looking hungry. Racing, also fighting for survival in the Second Division, were backed up on defence, looking for opportunities to send their speedy forwards out on the counterattack. Munir had two shots on goal early on for Barça B, which dominated the first half but went to the intermission engaged in a scoreless deadlock.

After the break, Halilovic came in and Adama moved to the left wing, where he would provide a perfect pass for Sandro, who put Barça ahead 1–0.

Tough luck

The visitors stepped up the pressure while Barça consolidated their defence to protect the lead. After several dangerous attacks, Racing finally got the break they needed in the form of a penalty whistled on Edgar Ié. Ortolá's initial save ended up at the feet of the shooter, who finished the job.

Barça B had no time to get back on top and, with the draw, earned a single point, which leaves them with 28, three behind Osasuna and the path to salvation.
