Barça Lassa claimed another important victory in the Euroleague on Thursday night, triumphing at the Palau Blaugrana against Kirolbet Baskonia (77-67) as they dominated from start to finish. Svestislav Pesic's men were over 20 points ahead of their opponents at one point, and Kevin Séraphin and Pau Ribas led the offence for the team with 15 points apiece.
Before the game, the team showed off the 25th Copa del Rey trophy in their history, won last week. They carried their form over to their Euroleague encounter, with great shooting accuracy and control of the boards at both ends. A 10-point lead was established early, with the first quarter concluding 22-9.
The Blaugrana did not ease off the gas, and continued to generate chances with ease. Kevin Séraphin ran the show with his inside game, racking up 15 points in the first half. The lead was stretched to 44-19, 16 minutes in, with the contest reaching the break 46-26.
In the third quarter, Barça Lassa lost the fluidity they had shown in the opening 20 minutes. Baskonia upped their pace in contrast, and would reduce the gap to 10 points.
But Barça Lassa weren't about to throw away their advantage. They were never behind and in the final quarter pulled further in front, thanks to a solid defence and control of rebounding. Victory number 14 of 23 this Euroleague season came courtesy of a 77-67 win, as the team continue to show their credentials on the European stage.
