Barça Lassa truly stamped their authority on the league this Sunday with a victory over Jaen that was as hard-fought as it was decisive and means they move four points clear at the top of the table thanks to ElPozo being held to a 3-3 draw by Aspil Ribera Navarra.
After Arthur, Ferrao and Aicardo had put the Catalans three goals ahead it looked they were going to fast-track their way to the three points, but Carlitos and Bingyoba pulled two goals back for the visitors, who threatened to sneak a point when they went full pelt with a rush goalie in the final minutes.
But the tactic didn’t work out. Dyego added a fourth for Barça with a minute to go, and that was game over, and also dealt a fierce psychological blow to the team that they’ll be meeting again in less than a month in the cup quarter finals.
