Kielce 31–32 Barça: Record breakers

Win in Poland equals the longest unbeaten streak in European handball history

Not only did Barça win at Kielce, ultimately thanks to some N’Guessan brilliance right at the end, but a 24th continental fixture in a row without losing has equalled the club's own record streaks of both 2019/20 and 2020/21.

The result also confirms that they will finish top of their EHF Champions League group with an almost perfect record of 13 wins and one draw.

Tight game

This was one of the toughest tests of the season so far, and that despite neither side having anything in particular to play for, with their places in the next round already secure. Barça took an early 9-4 lead, but the Poles not only cancelled out the deficit but worked their way into the lead.

It set up a thrilling endgame, with Gonzalo Pérez de Vargas making some fundamental saves and N’Guessan eventually securing the in in the final seconds.
