Barça 26-24 Kiel: A very special VICTORy

Today was the night reserved for the Víctor Tomàs' legendary number eight jersey to be hung up in the Palau Blaugrana, and it was also the night where insistence drove Barça over the line to defeat a very strong German opponent. Makuc led a magical evening with six goals, while the MVP was goalkeeper Gonzalo Pérez de Vargas with his 15 saves

Kiel got off to a strong start, but Barça bounced quickly back and there was very little between the sides throughout a tight first half that ended 13 apiece.

Barça went eight minutes without scoring after the break, but Kiel weren't exactly firing in the goals either, and the game continued neck and neck until the visitors found their touch and moved to +3.

That looked like curtains, but Barça found new aplomb and somehow or other worked their way back into the lead going into the final minute. Two top saves from Pérez de Vargas and Ludovic Fàbregas goal at the other end and the Catalans has sealed a majestic victory, to stay top of Group B with 7 wins and one draw.
