FC Barcelona 33–26 Helvetia Anaitasuna: Another win at the Palau (33-26)

A tight first half before moving up a notch in the second half to make it to a dozen wins in the league

FC Barcelona faced Helvetia Anaitasuna at the Palau Blaugrana on Friday night and made it to 12 wins out of 12 in the domestic championship. Wanne led the scoring with eight as the Catalans found in the second half what was missing in the first. Next up is a tough European journey to Kiel on Thursday.

It all came as rather a shock, for on paper this was unlikely to be much more than a placid home victory for the blaugrana.  But especially due to a fine visiting keeper in Marcos Cancio, Barça found themselves two-down at one point and were only one-up at the break.

Missing Cindric and Mem, Barça just couldn't get comfortable and even when they started to put some distance between themselves and the Navarrans in the second half, it was never enough to breathe easily, and the +7 difference at the end was actually the widest in the entire game.
