Abanca Ademar León 31-36 Barça: Fitting end to the league season

A win to end the league season. Barça took victory away at Abanca Ademar León in their final fixture of the season in the competition and now Carlos Ortega's team can focus on their two remaining objectives for the season: the Copa Asobal and the Champions League Final Four in Cologne. 

Exchange of goals 

The blaugranes started the game well but so did Ademar, the home side matching Carlos Ortega's team goal for goal in the opening minutes. Nevertheless, Janc's three goals and doubles from Mem, N'Guessan, Aleix Gómez, Cindric and Álex Fernández saw Barça take a 18-16 lead into the break. 

In the second half the blaugranes found their rhythm with Mem and Langaro providing the goals and Pérez de Vargas making important saves, Barça moved into a six goal lead. The visitors were able to hold on to their advantage to close out a 36-31 win to record their 28th win of the league campaign.
