The blaugranes record win number 13 in the Champions League with little but pride at stake

The Barça victories just keep coming. With the group stage placings in the EHF Champions League already decided, the blaugranes still excelled with a win away at Celje. Artur Parera made his debut for Xavi Pascual's team and Jordi González made his first appearance in the Champions League. 

Slovenians Celje got off to great start and Barça were playing catch up in the first half. At half time the home side were still in front at 17-16. 

At the start of the second half the blaugranes moved through the gears and they surged ahead at 21-17. The visitors threatened to run away with the game but Celje keeper Vujovic kept his team in the contest. In goal for Barça, Jordi González made his European debut and youngster Artur Parera also made his first appearance for the first team. 

With just a few minutes remining the sides were level at 29 all before Barça edged themselves over the line for the win and their 13th victory of the Champions League campaign.
