And there it is...the Barça futsal team are through to the Final Four of the Copa del Rey! Jesús Velasco's side won 7-2 against Jaén in the quarterfinal, and can now get ready to travel to Antequera for the final phase on 1 and 2 April. Matheus, Antonio (x2), Sergio Lozano, Sergio González (x2) and Pito scored the goals on a magical night at the Palau Blaugrana.
Control from the off
Barça came out with a purpose and soon took the lead, Matheus surprising the keeper with shot that went through a whole host of players, before Antonio scored a great goal from outside the area (2-0, min 6). They weren't finished, however, Lozano scoring a cross-shot to extend the lead (3-0, min 10).
The goals continued after halftime, partly because Jaén used a fly keeper, César getting one back (3-1, min 24). Barça redressed the balance quickly, however, first through Sergio González (4-1, min 30), and then Antonio scored into an open net from his own half for his second of the game (5-1, min 31).
There was still time for more, Chino made it 5-2 with a great shot to apply a bit of pressure, but time was running out and with five fouls on the board, their options were limited. Pito (6-2, min 39) and Sergio González (7-2, min 40) scored to round off the 7-2 win. All set for Antequera!
