After winning the Super Cup, Barça were welcomed back to the Palau by 4,091 spectators who were treated to a simply extraordinary game of futsal. Industrias Santa Coloma refused to make anything easy but a hat-trick from Pito and single goals from Catela, Dyego and Sergio González did it in the end.
It all started so well, with Barça scoring twice in the first six minutes, and although the visitors pulled one back before the break, it was very much the blaugrana that were in control.
But even though Pito extended the Barça lead the moment the players were back out on court, Santa Coloma then scored three goals in quick succession to stun the home fans by taking the lead.
Dyego and Sergio González then swung thing back the other way to 5-4, and when Pito completed his hat-trick with just four minutes to go, it looked all over.
David Álvarez pulled one back for Industrias to set up a tense finale, but Barça hung on, and the derby was theirs.
