Barça 5-3 Valdepeñas: Perfect start

The Barça futsal team keeps on winning. Actually their match day 6 game brought forward because of next week's Champions League Main Round, their fifth win in five games came against Valdepeñas at the Palau Blaugrana. This was first against second, meaning a tough encounter was likely, and both teams played their part in a high class match that Barça won with goals for Ferrao (2), Lozano, Pito and Sergio González.

The game was intense throughout and was only decided in the second half. Valdepeñas struck first in the first half through a free kick from Rafa Rato. However, the home side gradually grew into the game and took the lead in the space of 20 seconds. First, Ferraro spun to make it 1-1 before Lozano scored after a defensive mistake to make it 2-1 after 11 minutes. Barça continually tried to beat Edu in the opposition goal but to no avail, 2-1 the halftime score.

After the restart things were different. First Pito made it 3-1 after a rebound, then Sergio González didn't pass up the chance to extend the lead and his good form - five goals in five games.

Rested against Aspil-Jumpers Ribera Navarra, Ferrao returned to the team with a brace, scoring the fifth and final goal to make it 5-1 after 32 minutes. Valdepeñas attempted to cut into the lead using a fly-keeper, even getting it back to 5-3, but the three points were for Barça.

Next up sees a visit to ElPozo Murcia, which again looks great on paper, before travelling to Malta to play the Champions League Main Round.
