Two goals from Lozano and a great performance from keeper Dídac allow the blaugranes a win to keep up their hopes of finishing first
A festive occasion at the Palau Blaugrana as the FC Barcelona futsal showed off their recently won Champions League trophy. The occasion was also marked by an important victory in the league with two goals from Sergio Lozano giving Jesús Velasco's team the win against Levante.
Debutant Marc Puigvert almost gave Barça the lead in the early exchanges with a shot that whisked just past the post. Nevertheless, Barça only had to wait until the fourth minute before going ahead. Sergio Lozano gave the blaugranes the lead with a well taken effort and just seven minutes later the same played doubled the lead, finishing off an excellent move involving Pito and Marcenio.
The scoreline did not flatter the blaugranes as they dominated the first half in the Palau and went into the break in complete control of the encounter.
In the second half Adolfo came within a whisker of making it 3-0 with a shot that came back off the post. Then, suddenly, Levante were back in the game as Rivillos pulled one back for the visitors.
Levante threw everything at Barça in search of an equaliser but an excellent Dídac in between the post denied them on more than one occasion. Barça held on for the win that strengthens their position at the top of the league table.
