Burela 2-4 FC Barcelona: Young guns on fire

The Super Cup champions went to Burela with all of Matheus, Pito, Lozano, Ortiz and Ferrao missing through injuries, obliging Jesús Velasco to make changes and gives chances to youngsters Jorge Carrasco, Víctor Pérez, Albert Ortas and goalkeeper Óscar Dirul. They lived up to the challenge and have come back with another win for the team.

Dyego took on the responsibility of leading the young team and was all over the game before Bernat Povill opened the scoring after a quarter of an hour. André Coelho celebrabated the renewal of his contract with a fine goal before David Pazos pulled one back for the hosts before half-time.

Barça’s went two ahead again when Albert Ortas scored his first ever goal at senior level, and with Burela going for a rush goalies, Adolfo was able to use the extra space to seal the win before Pazos’ scored goal of the night served as mere consolation.

Barça stay top of the league, four points ahead of Valdepeñas and ten ahead of Palma and Pozo.
