A big win for the Barça futsal team at the Palau Blagrana. Jesús Velasco’s defeated second-placed Jaén FS to continue their excellent form and consolidate their place at the top of the table with goals from Marcenio, Matheus and Adolfo delighting the vibrant home crowd.
Both teams appreciated the importance of the encounter, and it was an intensely contested encounter from start to finish.
A fabulous assist from Carlos Ortiz opened the scoring on 12 minutes, but although Barça had the majority, but by no means all, of the chances it would take over half an hour for them to extend on that lead. Jaén went for a rush goalie in an attempt to get back into the game, and in the final minute Adolfo headed in to clinch the victory.
It was the perfect warm-up for the Champions League Elite Round in the Czech Republic next week.
