Ribera Navarra 2-5 Barça: Into the play-off!

Barça finished the regular phase of the league with victory against Ribera Navarra (2-5), meaning that they end this phase of the competition in third position. Therefore, for the quarter-finals, the Catalans have to play Inter, who finished sixth. A best-of-three series will begin next Wednesday, at the Palau, before a game in Torrejón on Saturday and a return to the Palau, if necessary, on Tuesday.

The other quarter-finals are ElPozo Murcia v Valdepeñas, Palma v Zaragoza and Cartagena v Levante. If they qualify, Barça will play against the winner of Palma v Zaragoza.

Barça dominance in Tudela

Barça dominated the match from the first moment, and even though Esquerdinha and Ferrao hit the post, the visitors were still 0-4 up by half-time. Ferrao scored the first after just a minute and six seconds.

Adolfo, in a strategic move, increased the lead with Daniel and Povill took the game away from the hosts.

In the second-half Dyego was sent off, but that didn't have an impact as Aicardo made it five (0-5, min 28). David, with a controversial penalty, and Dani Martín reduced the deficit late on.

Tribute to Ferran Plana

After the match, both Ribera Navarra and Barça participated in the tribute to Ferran Plana, brother of Barça goalkeeper Dídac Plana, who had to retire from futsal at age 25 due to an ankle injury.

The ex-blaugrana had played his last 4 seasons at Ribera Navarra, and Barça wanted to give him a shirt signed by all the first team players as a gift.
