Jonatan Giráldez: 'We share this trophy with all Culers'

"This is one of the happiest days in my life" said FC Barcelona women's coach Jonatan Giráldez after his team won its third Champions League thanks to a 2-0 win over Lyon on Saturday. Goalscorer Aitana Bonmatí also spoke to the media after the game.

"It was a spectacular atmosphere" said the manager. "And it's one we want to share with everyone ... It's hard to put into words what we feel right now. I am so proud for all my players and the coaches too"

Beating Olympique

"Lyon were the only team we had yet to beat" he continued. "We played great football and as a team. Everyone did today what you need to do to win."

"We knew how important it was to work hard both with and without the ball. We controlled the ball moving forwards, and especially in the second half we were attacking the right way. And we also knew how to deal with pressure."

Aitana MVP

The MVP and scorer of the first goal added that "this is one of my best days ever at Barça. What we experienced on the field was incredible. But it's much more than that. All the people that came here, all the Barça fans in the stadium, it was just so incredible."

"I thank the club for letting us live this moment. I thank all the fans who made the journey. They were like the twelfth player and they helped us to win the game."
