Best moment of January: Spanish Super Cup victory
In a poll sponsored by GLS, Barça fans named the win against Levante to lift the trophy as their highlight of the first month of the year
The fans have picked their highlight of January, and it was FC Barcelona's triumph in the Spanish Super Cup.
The team won the trophy by emphatically seeing off Levante 7-0 in the final, thus collecting the title for the third year in a row, a new record for the competition and yet another honour for Jonatan Giráldez and his all-conquering team.
It was an interesting poll, with three other important events offered as choices. Aitana won The Best award, Marta Torrejón extended her contract to 2025 and Bronze, Walsh and Aitana were all named in the FIFPro team.
