Three fans attending the Estadi Johan Cruyff for the match against UDG Tenerife will have the chance to meet the Barça Women captain
Barça Women welcome UDG Tenerife to the Estadi Johan Cruyff on September 17. The match will see the team return to the stadium for their first competitive fixture this season after playing the Joan Gamper Trophy against Montpellier. The first Liga match is away to FC Levante Las Planas at the Camp Municipal del Les Planes, but the Club wanted to celebrate the first home match with a special initiative by giving three fans attending the Estadi the chance to meet Alexia Putellas.
After the match, three lucky fans from the crowd watching the game against UDG Tenerife will be able to meet the Barça Women captain, who recently became the first player in history to be crowned UEFA Women Player of the Year for two years in a row.
The three lucky fans will be chosen at random and will find out whether or not they have won at half time. The meeting will take place in the Llotja del Johan, a space reserved for the occasion once the final whistle is blown. They will also receive one of this season's jerseys as a gift so that Alexia can sign it during the Meet&Greet.
On the road to recovery
Currently recovering from the knee injury she picked up this summer, last season Alexia was a key component in Jonatan Giráldez' side that won La Liga, the Copa de la Reina and the Spanish Super Cup, as well as reaching the final of the Champions League.
