August is here and it's going to a strange month, because it's the first in which FC Barcelona will be playing their home fixtures at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium while work is being done to develop Spotify Camp Nou. The first game at Barça's temporary home will be the Joan Gamper Trophy.
A special Gamper
The 58th edition of the club's traditional preseason tournament is on Tuesday 8 August at 8pm CEST.
Tottenham Hotspur are the guests for the second time, although the first time they came they didn't actually play the Catalans due to the four team format keeping them apart.
La Liga begins
The Liga title defence starts with an away trip to the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez, home of Getafe on August 12 at 9.30pm CEST. One week later comes the first ever game at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium, where Cadiz will be the guests on Sunday 20 August at 7.30pm CEST.
And there will be one more game to come in August with a trip to Villareal on August 27 at 5.30om CEST.
