It’s a game with plenty of firsts. As well as the first look at the new-look squad for the coming season, this will also be the first time the team will play in its brand new strip.

Barça has a long history with city just 100 km to the south. In fact, that was where it went for its first ever game outside of the city, and which ended in a controversial 18-0 victory.
The current Gimnàstic club wasn’t formed until much later, and first met Barça in the quarter finals of the cup in 1946/47. As well as three seasons from 1947 to 1950, Nàstic also played in the first division in 2007/07. In ten competitive encounters, Barça have won eight, drawn two and never lost.
