    An attacking full back with character

    Edu Sánchez (Navalmoral del la Mata, 21 June 2005) began his career at the Escuela Moral de Futbol in his hometown. After a move to CD Diocesano in 2021 he signed for CD Badajoz U19s. 

    The defender quickly progressed to the first team, making his debut in the Primera Federación in October 2022 in a game against Racing de Ferrol. Sánchez settled into the defence and ended the season with 20 appearances for the Badajoz first team.

    On 10 August 2023 he joined Barça Atlètic, signing a contract until June 2025. 

    The full back has represented Spain at U18 level, making his debut in a friendly against Switzerland. 

    Technical profile 

    Strong left back who likes to forward, Sánchez has a forceful personality on the field despite his youth.
