    Left-footed centre back, strong, quick and good at getting the ball into play

    FC Barcelona and NK Kustosija Zagreb reached an agreement on the transfer of Mikayil Faye in the summer of 2023, bringing the Senegalese youngster to Barça Atlètic from Croatia. 

    Born in Sedhiou (Senegal) on 14 July 2004, Mikayil Faye started out at Diambars FC in the Gambian league. Croatian second division side NK Kustosija picked him up in the winter transfer window of  2022/23, and he started 11 of the 13 games he played while there. 

    TECHNICAL PROFILE

    Left-footed centre back, strong, quick and good at getting the ball into play, Faye is an U17 international for Senegal.
