Thursday was a special day for Mbacke, the Senegalese centre back who was announced as a new member of Barça Atlètic on the final day of the transfer window. He got his first look around the Ciutat Esportiva and trained for the first time under the orders of Rafa Márquez.

He then paid a visit to the Estadi Johan Cruyff to wear the FC Barcelona uniform for the first time, bearing his assigned number four on the back.

Speaking to the club media, he described his excitement at joining such a grand institution and said he was immensely looking forward to doing everything he can to help the team.
