80% of Barça members approve of the management of the current Board of Directors

Around 52% of members give a grading of between good and excellent for the Board's management and give a score of 6.07 out of 10 for the Espai Barça works

FC Barcelona have made public this Wednesday results of the latest Blaugrana Observatory for the 2022/23 season, the Club's survey of opinion used to evaluate the all round picture of the organisation via the valuation of the members. The survey touched on topics ranging from an evaluation of the work of the Board of Directors to opinions on the professional sections and the management of the Espai Barça project amongst others. 

The study was carried out by Feedback via a survey of 3,000 members, men and women, season tickets and non season ticket holders, older than 18 years of age and resident in Spain, between 26 April and 5 May 2023. 

80% of members asked approved of the management of the Board of Directors, with around 52% of members give a grading of between good and excellent. The five most important decisions taken were all valued positively, especially the use of online voting with a second 8.44 out of 10. The use of the 'palancas' came second, followed by the new rules regarding Seient Lliure and the decision on the Espai Barça works, all three with a score of between 6 and 7 out of 10; also the move to the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys at Montjuïc next season recieved a 5.07 out of 10 from the members. 

The level of satisfaction in relationship to the Club's sporting situation came in at 6.35 out of 10 with optimism regarding the future, 59% of members believing that it will only get better. Furthermore, there was a positive reaction to the professional sections at Barça, especially women's football which earned a score of 9.38 out of 10. 

Elsewhere, members continued to view positively the Club's social situation, even though they saw areas to improve such as the institutional and financial situation. 

Great reaction to ‘More than a club’

Barça is clearly perceived as 'More than a Club' by 76.2% of those surveyed, being so due to it being owned 100% by the members, following by its identification with Catalonia and thirdly by La Masia and the professional sections. 

Looking to the future, the majority of member wish to continue as now with the 100% membership ownership model. The desire to renew season tickets is high (between 76.1% and 87.8% very likely) and the loyalty factors as a member are in in the main emotional. First, the love for the Club, second pride in being a culer, and then at some distance, family reasons, being a football fan and discounts. .

Barça, sexual equality

The level of commitment shown by the Club to improve the situation of women is rated positively - 65.8% between very and quite positive - and that is shared by men and women alike. 

All initiatives put forward by FC Barcelona to increase women's role in general, such as playing women's matches at Spotify Camp Nou, la Masia being a women's training centre also, announcing women's results at Spotify Camp Nou and the presence of women in the Board of Directors, were rated very positively. 

Support for the Espai Barça work 

The view on the work for the Espai Barça project is positive with a score of 6.07 out of 10. Younger members, between the ages of 18 and 40, and non season tickets holders showed themselves to be more in favour. These differences were reflected with the decision to play at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys at Montjuïc next season with a positive rating of 5.07 out of 10. 

Participation in the Super League 

Members expressed an notable acceptance of Barça being part of the Super League with a score of 6.57 out of 10, counting 33% of votes classifying it as excellent. 

The Negreira case 

The Negreira case worries members notably with a score of 7.56 out of 10, and 7.61 out of 10 from season ticket holders and 7.88 for members between 51 and 60, who also firmly believe, with a score of 8.58 out of 10, that it affects negatively Barça's image. At the same time, 68.5% believe that a campaign has been orchestrated against the Club.
