Barça end the LoL Superliga regular season with EU Masters classification

The League of Legends team adapt quickly to secure second place in the competition's regular season, earning a European Masters Play-In spot against the best European clubs from regional leagues

Even though the LVP League of Legends Superliga playoffs are yet to be played, Barça can draw positives from their debut season in this new discipline. The Club has sealed second place - earning a place at the highest level European competition to which an ERL (European Regional League) team can aspire, the European Masters - as well as being viewed as one of the favourites to become national champions in Seville on March 30th.

Despite the very positive start, there is still a lot to play for. The playoffs will determine whether they reach the final in order to strive to lift the winner's trophy for the winter split. However, the team has shown they are aiming for the top and the Club has clearly joined the League of Legends with a desire to develop and give its all. Notable stats include Barça going on the second best winning run in the competition's history in just their first season, and the team's ADC, Deadly, placing as one of the top MVPs from the regular season.

Barça's coach, Alejandro “Mapache” Parejo, has highlighted that he is “very happy with FC Barcelona's first season in League of Legends, having chosen players that believe in the Club's values, philosophy of effort, who have shown they are among the best in the league”. He went on to discuss the semifinal against Fnatic TQ, stating that “they will be putting themselves to the test” and that “they are convinced that sticking to the process will continue to bring the good results achieved to date”. Lastly, he had some words for the fans, acknowledging that “having the fans' support is great” and that he wanted to “show them a good League of Legends campaign and reach the Superliga final”.

The next clash is at 6pm CET on Saturday March 19th, a match that represents a guaranteed place in the final in Seville, which you can watch via both the Liga de Videojuegos Profesional and the Club's official channels.
