Born on 16 December 1994 in Westville, Ohio, USA, Nigel Hayes-Davis played college basketball at the University of Wisconsin between 2013 and 2017. He came to Europe in 2018 to sign for Galatasaray. In the Turkish league his figures of 33 games with an average of 12.6 points and 5.2 rebounds caught the attention of Lithuanian team Zalgiris.
For the Kaunas based club he played 62 games in the league and 62 in the Euroleague. In the 2020/21 season in Europe he scored averaged 26 minutes a game with 9.5 points, 3.9 rebounds and a 9.8 valuation.
Hayes-Davis is a solid player on offence and defence and offers versatility as he can play at 3 or 4. He has an excellent perimeter shot and good rebounding skills and is a good scorer from the free shot line.
