FC Barcelona 79-68 Partizan Belgrade: Incontestable win

Victory in the first of two European games this week

There is a busy week ahead, but things got off on the right foot as Barça defeated Partizan at the Palau Blaugrana, a side they had not met since 2013. Following defeats in Europe and at Joventut in the league, it was bounceback time for the blaugrana, and they did so very nicely nicely indeed.

Laprovittola led the scoring with 13 points and 6 assists in a game that Barça began well but not really collecting as many points as they should in a defence-dominated game that often saw the Serbs ahead. It wasn't really until late in the second period that Barça truly got into their stride, and they'd be +7 at the break, and +11 shortly after.

Three-pointers were keeping Partizan in contention, but the Catalans gradually stretched the gap to the extent that victory now looked incontestable. With the win looking safe and the intensity out of the game, Kyle Kuric was able to return to the court following injury for the final minutes. The visitors pulled back a few late points, but this one was already done and dusted.

Next up is another EuroLeague fixture, also at home, this time against fellow ACB team Baskonia at 8.30pm CET.
