Bayern Munich 59-52 Barça: All to be decided in the Palau

A lack of firepower on offense means the Euroleague quarter final goes to a deciding game at the Palau on Tuesday

The tie will be decided at the Palau Blaugrana. Barça went down to a 59-52 defeat against Bayern Munich in Germany with the home side levelling up the tie at 2-2 with the deciding fifth match to come on Tuesday in Barcelona.

Barça started the game with problems on offense and that allowed Bayern to take an early lead that they never relinquished. After 10 minutes the Germans were 18-12 ahead and in the second period Barça were only able to score 13 points. Abrines scored the first three pointers after 17 minutes with Bayern leading 36-25 at half time.

Saras Jasikevicius' team did not give up but the Germans stretched their lead to 46-29 at one point, an advantage of 17 and Barça were chasing the game.

The final period saw the blaugranes outscore the home side by 18-9 but it was too little too late and Bayern ran out 59-52 winners. A place in the Final Four will be up for grabs on Tuesday at the Palau Blaugrana, tip off at 9pm CEST.
