In a game that was only decided in the fourth quarter, the blaugranes record their eighth win in a row
The Barça basketball team rounded off a perfect week with their eighth consecutive victory since the start of the season. The latest victory came away at Coosur Betis by 78-61, a game that Barça controlled from the off and consolidated their advantage in the final quarter.
The contest could not have started better for Barça as they reeled off eight unanswered points in the opening minutes. Nevertheless, Betis rallied after a poor start and after 10 minutes the lead was cut to 19-15.
With Laprovittola and Kuric on form and the defence showing intensity the lead reached 10 points before the home side again reacted and the team went off at half time with Barça leading by eight points at 37-29.
In a low scoring game, the defence played a key role. Barça led but were unable to kill off Betis completely with the Andalusians still in the game at 57-50 at the end of the third quarter.
Decisive final quarter
It was not until quarter and two successive three pointers that Barça finally put the game to bed. In the end a 17 points victory at 78-61 gave them their sixth win out of six in the league and their eighth win out of eight including the Euroleague.
