Barça 94-73 Joventut: Offensive masterclass and into the semi-finals

Victory for Barça against Club Joventut Badalona 94-73 in the decisive game of the play off. The 2-1 win in the league play off means that Barça now face Lenovo Tenerife in the semi final after a game that saw a crowd of 1,000 at the Palau Blaugrana for the first time this season. 

The blaugranes gave an attacking masterclass, above all in the third quarter when Saras' side outscored 'La Penya' by 35-14. Pau Gasol led the charge and he was well supported later on by Davies and Kuric.  

Tight early on 

Barça took the lead early on but Joventut matched them point for point until home side taking a 25-21 lead at the end of the first quarter. However, 14 points from Pau Gasol in 7 minutes turned the game firmly in favour of Barça at half time at 45-38.

In the second half 11 points from Davies in 4 minutes saw Barça stretch their lead to 59-44. Four three pointers from Kuric saw that lead extend to more than 20 and in the final quarter that lead was enough for the blaugranes to book themselves a place in the semi-finals against Tenerife on Monday at 9.15pm CEST.
