From the moment that FC Barcelona authorised the Penya Barcelonista Knokke-Heist in Belgium in February 2013, its members were clear that solidarity actions were going to be one of the Penya’s main activities and all 300 members have been working with that objective in mind.

Succesful first action

Their first action came about in April 2013 when a charity dinner raised funds for 3 fresh water pumps for Cambodia, capable of providing drinking water to five families.

With the support of the Trailblazer Foundation, the project was put into action and in November the club president Vanderhust Daniel visited Cambodia to see the pumps in action.

Work goes on

Like many other penyes, the club continues its solidarity work and looking for ways to help the less fortunate and they have planned another charity dinner for May this year,

As ambassadors for FC Barcelona, the penya stresses the importance of solidarity – a key value of the Club.
