César Rodríguez was coach at Barça for a season and a half | FCB ARCHIVE

This legendary striker for Barça started his career as a coach whilst still playing for Elche. After a successful period with the club from Alicante, he decided to make his way to Zaragoza.

There, he was enormously successful, even reaching the Cup  final against Barça. This, added to the promising career he had shown up to then, did not pass unnoticed by the Board at FC Barcelona, and he was signed as coach in the 1963-64 season. However, with Barça, the luck which he had had with other teams deserted him and, after a season and a half in the position, he resigned.
