Cesc Fabregas joined the FC Barcelona first team in the summer of 2011, from Arsenal, and became the second signing for the 2011/12 season. He was presented as a new Barça player on August 15th, 2011.
Cesc Fàbregas came through the youth ranks of FC Barcelona, from 10 to 16 years of age, when he signed for Arsenal. There he became the youngest player to make his debut for the club, and the youngest goalscorer in Gunners history. His rapid progression made him a vital player for Arsene Wenger, who played him in more than 30 games in every Premier League season from 2004/05. In 2008, and still only 21 years old, he was already considered a world star and handed the captain's armband.
In eight seasons at the English club, Cesc played a total of 303 games and scored 57 goals, an exceptional figure for a midfielder, not to mention an astonishing number of goal assists. Apart from the odd injury, the worst thing for Cesc is the lack of titles he won with Arsenal. A 2004 Community Shield and the FA Cup in 2005 were all he had to show for his time in London. In Europe, Arsenal's best season was 2005/06, when they reached the final of the Champions League, losing 2-1 to FC Barcelona.
On August 15th, 2011, he signed a contract to tie him to FC Barcelona for the next five seasons. His buyout clause was set at 200 million Euros. In his first season at FC Barcelona he scored 15 goals in 48 official appearances. He made his debut in the Spanish Supercup against Real Madrid, coming on as sub with the score at 2-2, and within seconds he had supplied the assist for Messi to make it 2-1. That season, he also collected winners medals in the European Supercup, the Clubs World Cup and Copa del Rey.
Cesc Fàbregas made his Spanish International debut at the age of 18, and was in the national side won the European Championships in 2008 and 2012 and also its first ever World Cup in 2010, when he supplied the ball for Iniesta to the score the winner in the final against Holland.
