Pedro, who missed the Betis game with a stomach upset, was back in training with the squad today and was given the medical all clear.
Tito Vilanova, just back from New York, led the session, which included all the available first team players plus Lucas Gafarot from the Youth A side.
Valdés trained normally and Mascherano joined in for part of the session.
This Thursday’s training began at 11.30, half an hour later than planned, in order to give Tito Vilanova time to lead the session following his arrival earlier this morning from New York where he had been undergoing a series of medical tests.
Vilanova led the session, which included all the available first team players plus Lucas Gafarot from the Youth A side.
Pedro and Valdés worked with the squad. Pedro and Valdes, who both missed the game against Betis last weekend, were back training normally with the rest of the squad and the Spanish fron-man was given the medical all clear after the session.
Mascherano trains with the rest of the squad
Mascherano was also back in training, taking part in a section of the session with the rest of the players as he works to recover from the knee injury he suffered in Paris, whilst Abidal trained apart.
Edmílson at the Ciutat Esportiva
José Edmílson was at the session and took the opportunity to greet his ex-teammates. Edmilson received a great reception in the Directors Box during the Betis game, when he was honoured for his career at the Club between 2004and 2008.
