Fermín equals his best goalscoring stats
There is no denying that Fermín López is a midfielder with the instincts of a striker. So far this season the Andalusian has scored 11 goals in all competitions, his best ever return in an FC Barcelona shirt. His most recent strike came in Sunday's 3-0 win over Levante at Spotify Camp Nou.
Right or left, it's all the same
Right foot or left foot, the Barça number 16 can score with both, his most recent coming in off the post from a left footed shot from outside the box.
"I saw the gap and it turned out to be a goal. I can shoot with both feet, I train on that a lot. It's a quality I picked up and trained on it at Linares on loan. When I came back to Barça I kept on working and I try to help the team with it," explained Fermín after the game at Spotify Camp Nou on Sunday in La Liga.
From 2023/24 to 2025/26
Fermín's strike impressed even his team mates against Levante. "What a goal!", exclaimed the returning Pedri to Jules Kounde on the field. The Andalusian midfielder does not do tap-ins and has produced several memorable since opening his account for the first team in a Clásico against Real Madrid in preseason in 2023/24.
At the end of that campaign he finished with 11 goals in to his name and in 2025/26 he has already matched that figure in just 32 matches. Five goals have come from his right foot and six with his left - he has scored in all three competitions except the Copa del Rey, with five in the Champions League, five in La Liga and one in the Spanish Super Cup. With plenty of the season still remaining, there is time for Fermín to continue to set new standards.
