Jordi Alba enters all-time Top 10 for FC Barcelona appearances

The full-back's 421st game for the club means he matches Guillermo Amor in tenth place in the all-time ranking

Jordi Alba has made history for FC Barcelona. The speed full-back with the amazing runs up the left flank entered the all-time top ten for club appearances today matching the 421 of Guillermo Amor after starting the 3-2 win away at Levante in which he provided the cross for Luuk de Jong's late winner.

The La Masia graduate returned to the club in 2012 after spells at Cornellà, Tarragona and Valencia, and has not looked back since.

A decade on the left

Under Tito Vilanova, Tata Martino, Luis Enrique, Ernesto Valverde, Quique Setién, Ronald Koeman and now Xavi, Alba has been a regular, admired not only for his defensive solidity but also for his contributions to the attack.

And so he joins the all-time top ten, alongside current team-mates Sergio Busquets and Gerard Piqué
