The fight for the top spot of the table treated fans in La Coruña to a vibrant and hard-fought match that ended in a two-all draw. The home team scored the opener, thanks to a tremendous strike from José Lamas, which inspired the Blaugrana to go on the attack. Barça fought back thanks to goals from Torras and Miras. It looked as though Barça were in control but Liceo scored the equaliser through Bargalló in the dying minutes of the first half. The second half offered up a flurry of attacking play from both sides forcing the keepers from both teams to display their best form. The game came to an end with a two-all draw on the scoreboard.
