The Spanish national handball team is finalizing preparations in Barcelona for the European Championship in Serbia

Seven Barça players will feature in the national side managed by Valero Rivera

Barça Intersport is on hiatus over the Christmas break, but most of the team’s players aren’t taking any time off as they suit up for international duty. Specifically, many of the players are with the Spanish national team, which is in Barcelona making preparations for the Serbian European Championship. The new additions to Spain’s World Cup squad are the keeper José Manuel Sierra and the Azulgranas Dani Sarmiento and Víctor Tomás.

Seven Barça players

The center back and the winger are two of the seven Barça players named to the national side managed Valero Rivera. The others are Cristian Ugalde, Mikel Aguirrezabalaga, Viran Morros, Juanín García and Raúl Entrerríos. These last two will join the side on January 2nd, when Spain’s national side goes to Lanzarote to play in an international friendly tournament. The European Championship in Serbia will start on the 15th of January and go through 29th.
