After the 1-6 defeat to ElPozo in the second match of the final series of the LNFS this Friday evening at the Palau Blaugrana, Marc Carmona recognised ElPozo’s superiority, even though he said that his team deserved a bit more than a single goal.
“We didn’t do many things well. We were not playing well on set pieces, when we tried to apply pressure, on positional offence... we weren’t especially fluid in our play and the scoreline really hurt us. We were always a bit late in this game. There isn’t anything really positive about this match,” said the Azulgrana manager. He added: “it wasn’t our day and they were clearly much better than us.”
Carmona said that De Bali’s goal after only eight seconds really hurt his tactical plan for the match: “ElPozo found the opener very quickly and they were comfortable on the court. It was difficult for us to apply pressure, we were rushed and we always trailed. There isn’t much else to say about the game.”
Focusing on this Sunday’s match
However, the FC Barcelona Alusport manager reminded the press room about the victory achieved in Murcia and that the series is level. At the same time, he urged his players to recover as quickly as possible in order to play a better game on Sunday. The match will be played at the Palau Blaugrana at 18:30. “It’s a 1-1 and on Sunday we have another match. We have to recover and try to do a better job in our next game.”
