After the draw between Ajax and Chelsea (3-3) the round of 16 has been decided, with Barça up against the Londoners
Barça and the Blues will play a single knockout match at the Miniestadi on a date yet to be confirmed
The second round of the NextGen Series, the U19 European Cup, has been confirmed, and FC Barcelona will be at home to Chelsea. As winners of their first round group, Barça are seeded and thus get home advantage against the English side, who finished third in Group 3 behind CSKA Moscow and Ajax Amsterdam and qualified by virtue of Tuesday’s 3-3 draw with the Dutch outfit.
So the tie will consist of just one leg, at the Miniestadi on a date yet to be announced. Barça came top of their first round group with 11 points, ahead of Anderlecht (9 points), Tottenham (8) and Wolfsburg (4).
There are some top quality teams among the last sixteen, with there being plenty of enticing matches to look forward to. The definitive second round fixtures are as follows: PSG v Tottenham; CSKA Moscow v PSV Eindhoven; Sporting Lisbon v Liverpool; Inter Milan v Arsenal; Olympiakos v Anderlecht; Juventus v Rosenborg and Ajax v Aston Villa.
