This Thursday Thiago Alcantára underwent medical tests to assess the extent of the injury to his tibia. The results confirm that the injury has not fully healed and that the player must continue his recovery process for the coming weeks. Therefore, Thiago will not have the medical all clear ahead of the Olympic Games in London.

It’s worth noting that Thiago was pre-selected by Luis Milla, manager of the Spanish Olympic football team, along with Martín Montoya, Cristian Tello and Jordi Alba.
