At the start of the season, few people would have expected Martín Montoya to have been in starting eleven in the Cup Final. Now aged 21, he first joined the club in 1999 at Benjamí B level and has taken 13 years to progress through the ranks and eventually contribute to the conquest of the very last title of the Guardiola era, the Copa del Rey.
