Amazing season
The world’s top player has had an amazing season at the Club, having beaten records left, right and centre with 73 official goals. His 50 League goals earned him his second Pichichi and his second Golden Shoe, as well as coming in as the Champions League leading scorer for the fourth year on the run.
After picking up his third Ballon d’Or he marked the most special of records, beating Cesar’s record as the all-time Barça leading scorer in official games.
The Spanish Cup win at the Calderón was his fourth title of the season with Barça, following on from the Spanish and European Super Cups and the World Club Cup. Messi scored in all six competitions, equalling the record set two years ago by Pedro.
